Sometimes...well actually...a lot times I get a craving for a nice dessert after dinner. I don't always have a lot of options in my pantry. This recipe has very basic ingredients...goes together easily...and will impress with it's presentation and yumminess!
Cinnamon and Sugar Apple Biscuits

Ingredients
All Around Dough: Recipe Here
4 Apples
3/4 C Sugar
1 T Lemon Juice
1 1/4 tsp Cinnamon
3 T Cornstarch
1/2 C Brown Sugar
1 T Cinnamon
1/4 tsp Nutmeg
1/2 + 2 T Butter
1 T Avocado Oil
Directions
Preheat oven to 350.
Melt butter.
Combine brown sugar, 1 T cinnamon, and 1/4 tsp nutmeg in a bowl.
Prep cast iron skillet with 2 T melted butter.
Add 1 T avocado oil to skillet and coat the bottom.
Roll out all around dough to about 1" thick.
Cut out biscuits. When you run out of room for more biscuits work the dough back together into a ball and re-roll. Repeat until the number of biscuits is achieved. My skillet holds about 7.
Take one biscuit and dip in remaining melted butter then in the cinnamon mixture.
Place biscuit in prepared skillet
Repeat steps 8 and 9 until all biscuits are in the skillet
Pour any remaining butter into skillet around the biscuits. Set biscuits aside.
Peel and cut apples into small chunks
In a sauce pan combine sugar, cornstarch and 1 1/4 tsp cinnamon.
Stir in apples and lemon juice.
Cook over medium heat for about 15 minutes...until it is warm, well combined, and apples are tender.
Spoon mixture over the top of the biscuits, trying to keep as many apples on top as you can.
Pour any remaining sauce over the biscuits.
Sprinkle with any remaining cinnamon mixture.
Bake for 35 minutes.
Let sit for 10 minutes and serve.
